Tropixa Ceylon Enters Global Export Market with Coconut Beverages in Partnership under Zynex Freshness


Sri Lanka’s emerging tropical beverage company, Tropixa Ceylon, has officially taken a major step into the global export market by launching its coconut-based beverage export initiative in partnership with Zynex Freshness.


The initiative, which commenced on January 1, 2024, marks the company’s strategic entry into the international beverage sector, focusing on value-added coconut beverages sourced from Sri Lanka’s renowned tropical agriculture.


Through this collaboration, Tropixa Ceylon aims to introduce premium coconut water and tropical beverage solutions to international markets including the Middle East, Europe, Asia, and North America, leveraging Sri Lanka’s globally recognized coconut resources.


According to Yasith Kalhara, Chairman and Managing Director of Tropixa Ceylon, the move represents a significant milestone in the company’s long-term strategy to expand Sri Lankan beverage exports.


“Sri Lanka possesses some of the world’s finest coconut resources, particularly the king coconut variety. Our goal is to transform these natural assets into globally competitive beverage products. This partnership marks the beginning of our journey to bring premium tropical beverages from Sri Lanka to international consumers,” he said.


Zynex Freshness, a Sri Lankan beverage production and innovation company, plays a key role in product development and manufacturing support for the export initiative. The collaboration enables the production of high-quality, export-ready coconut beverages that meet international food safety and quality standards.


Industry observers note that the global demand for natural hydration beverages and coconut water products has grown significantly in recent years, creating strong opportunities for tropical producers such as Sri Lanka to enter premium beverage markets.


With increasing global interest in natural, healthy, and plant-based beverages, Tropixa Ceylon aims to position itself as a new generation tropical beverage exporter, combining Sri Lanka’s agricultural heritage with modern beverage innovation.


The company plans to expand its product portfolio to include king coconut water, flavored coconut beverages, and tropical fruit blends, targeting international distributors, retail chains, and private label partners.


As the global beverage industry continues to evolve toward healthier and more natural drink options, the entry of Tropixa Ceylon into the export sector represents a promising development for Sri Lanka’s value-added agricultural exports.
